I normally think you’re on the money. However I understood that the issue here is that the cornerstone of the community ethos of this school (shared meals) was being disrupted and also that some Muslim parents didn’t want their children being pressurised into joining other Muslim children who do want to pray. It could be done differently, but I for one think that sharing food around the table is hugely important.

Thanks Sarah. Me too! (Sharing food...) I don't disagree with you - I think my point is that I would want to see a solution that allows rather than bans ritual prayer. GP
