It was good to see this tweet from Richard and I’d love it to develop into a national event as you suggest. I see that there will be a national antisemitism March on 27th November and given our Christian history, I think we should support that.

More generally, of course, how can anyone be against peace, but I think that we have to be as careful about calling for a cheap peace as for a cheap grace. Both have to come with repentance and I see nothing of that from Hamas who ended the prospect of a further move towards regional peace with Saudi, following Egypt and Jordan and in a backhanded kind of way, with Qatar.

“At tonight’s Humanity Not Hatred vigil, Rabbi Josh Levy spoke alongside Imam Ibrahim Mogra and Reverend Richard Sudworth. Rabbi Charley Baginsky joined leaders of all faiths lighting lanterns as a symbol of hope. Many other Progressive clergy and members were among the hundreds of people at this vital event.”
